The Black Winter Truffle (also known as the Perigord Truffle) flaunts the strongest flavor and aroma of all black truffles. Black Winter Truffles have deep, warm black exteriors and dark, robustly-veined flesh inside. Enjoy the subtle, earthy, chocolate aroma which has captivated chefs and foodies for centuries. 

These truffles are sold as whole pieces, 1oz-1.5oz in average weight. For the best taste - store in a cool, dry place (like the refrigerator!). Remember, moisture is the truffle's worst enemy. If you are storing the truffles wrapped in unbleached paper towels to combat moisture, we recommend changing the wrappings daily.


Because truffles are foraged from the earth, their flavor and aroma will naturally vary. We select truffles with tremendous care based on visual and olfactory inspection, but we cannot taste each one. Enjoy!

Basically the two were in good shape except for one soft spot in the smaller truffle.
